The Party of the Hungarian Community (SMK–MKP) has fulfilled the primary condition for participating in the municipal elections later this year: the lists of its candidates have been provided to the municipal notaries of the district election committees. The SMK–MKP have a total of 297 registered mayoral candidates — of which 196 are candidates of SMK–MKP, 64 are candidates of the coalition, and 37 are independent candidates supported by SMK–MKP — in the municipal elections to be held on 10 November 2018.
